Although very good and performing, the numerous tests carried out on the S8 and S8 Plus revealed a significant fragility (compared to their predecessors and competitors). The UFC-Que Choisir consumer association has warned about the risk of premature damage to the screen and the rear part of these Smartphone in case of repeated falls. The huge glass slab is much less resistant than in the past. Resistance tests showed that less than 50 falls were required to break the screen and crack the backs of the mobiles. The study even compares the results (from this same test) with the iPhone 7, Galaxy S7 and Huawei P9 where only scratches had appeared.
