The Kobo Clara HD e-reader is both compact and light. It has a dimension of 15.1 x 11.3 cm for a weight of 166 grams. The camera looks solid and it is very nice to handle, except that it is one of the thinnest e-readers of the market with 8.3 mm thick. The rear façade is slightly curved and ribbed, with a thin, granular plastic cover. The edges are rounded and the finish is impeccable. However, the Kobo Clara HD is not waterproof. The e-reader’s performance and its aesthetics may be damaged if it is not effectively protected against external aggression. Its thinness can become a weakness if it is not coated with a solid cover.

The Canadian brand Kobo launches a new entry-level e-reader. The Kobo Clara HD succeeds the Kobo Aura 2 model. It keeps the same format as its predecessor with a 6-inch touch screen. The screen resolution reaches 300 pixels per inch and includes the latest E-ink Carta ink technology.
